Highway Gothic is one of the most widely seen typefaces in America with but one of the least thought about. Used across American highway and street signs, this font has an unconventional creation story.
As an exercise, I designed an informational type-spec booklet for the forgotten font and produced and bound the book as a design firm might receive books from foundries.
