As the Digital Design Director at The Daily Orange, an independent and nonprofit student-run. newspaper, it is my job to create graphics that will be shown throughout the online story to help further the story's explanation and engage readers. It has taught me how to be a proactive leader, work under the pressure of short deadlines, and how to thoughtfully critique. Managed and scheduled a team of designers to create infographics to be published with digital stories four days a week and on instagram. I have led the production of over 300 graphics in the past 8 weeks, provided visual input in weekly head editors meetings and led nightly graphic pitch meetings.
